Hero Investor is developed by Smartatum (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Hero Investor mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Device Information: Device model, operating system version, language, and unique technical identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID).
Approximate Location: General location data (city or region level) derived from IP address for advertising and analytics purposes.
User IDs: Unique identifiers such as your Google Play Games Services ID (used for cloud saves, leaderboards, and achievements) and an anonymous Firebase installation ID (used to associate analytics events with a single installation of the app for analytics, security, and anti-fraud purposes). The Firebase installation ID is not linked to your name, email, or Google account, and resets when you uninstall the app, clear app data, or factory-reset your device.
Usage Data: Gameplay events, session duration, in-game actions, and performance analytics (e.g., via Firebase).
Purchase Data: Information required to validate and deliver in-app purchases through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store payment card details.

2. How We Use Information

To operate and improve the financial simulation gameplay experience.
To provide Cloud Save, Leaderboards, and Achievements.
To monitor performance, diagnose bugs, and ensure the app runs correctly.
To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use, including invalid or tampered in-app purchases. We may use analytics signals associated with your installation of the app to suspend or restrict access to in-app purchases or features when fraudulent activity is detected.
To display advertisements (personalized or non-personalized based on consent).
To process and validate in-app purchases.

We use trusted third-party service providers that process data on our behalf to ensure game functionality:

4. Advertising and Consent

The app displays ads served via Google AdMob, Unity Ads, and Meta Audience Network mediation. Where required by law (such as in the EEA/UK), we use a Consent Management Platform to request permission before serving personalized ads. Users can reset or opt out of ad personalization via their Android device settings.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain gameplay data only as long as necessary to provide the service. Because your game uses Cloud Save, you have the right to request the deletion of your data.

Analytics data collected via Firebase Analytics is retained for up to 14 months at the user-installation level. Aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data may be retained longer for product and security purposes. Where we export analytics events for fraud investigation, those event records are deleted on a periodic basis or upon a verified deletion request.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the EEA/UK, we process data under:

Legitimate Interest: For app stability, basic analytics, and detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized use of the app.
Consent: For personalized advertising.
Contract: To deliver purchased content and sync cloud saves.

7. Children's Privacy

Hero Investor is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in certain regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
