Who this policy covers

This is the single Privacy Policy for the Smart Atum website at smartatum.com, Smart Atum beta and playtest applications, all Smart Atum Android games, and Hero Investor for Windows PC. It applies across our current titles and future game updates unless we clearly state otherwise.

For this policy, “Smart Atum,” “we,” “our,” and “us” mean Smart Atum Games, operated by Ramy Tawfik. We determine how information submitted directly to Smart Atum is used.

Information connected to the website

Website delivery and security

When you visit smartatum.com, our hosting and security provider may process ordinary network and request information such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URL, date and time, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.

Smart Atum does not use this website to serve behavioral advertising or sell personal information. Links to external websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.

Closed-beta applications

Hero Investor PC beta applications are hosted directly on Google Forms. The application may ask for your Discord username, country or time zone, Windows and hardware specifications, display configuration, testing availability, feedback interests, relevant game experience, and written responses.

We use application responses only to evaluate applicants, coordinate testing, communicate with selected participants, protect the test, and improve Hero Investor PC. Applying does not require a purchase. Google separately processes use of Google Forms under the Google Privacy Policy.

PC data stays local unless you choose otherwise

Files stored on the PC

Hero Investor PC may store saves, autosaves, manual checkpoints, settings, logs, screenshots created by the game, pending bug-report packages, and bounded gameplay diagnostics in the game’s Windows application-data folders. These files remain on the PC unless you use an explicit transfer feature.

Machine-local diagnostics are limited in size and rotation. A random installation identifier may be stored locally to connect diagnostic events from the same installation; it is not your Steam identity. The game provides a separate control to clear local analytics diagnostics without deleting saves or ordinary settings.

Steam features

When supported and enabled in the build you use, the game may ask the Steam client to synchronize eligible save archives, unlock achievements, update achievement progress statistics, confirm ownership, display the Steam overlay, or show broad rich-presence information such as general gameplay state, in-game year, or company level.

Machine-specific settings, live databases, logs, local diagnostics, and pending bug-report packages are not intended for Steam Cloud synchronization. Valve processes Steam account, purchase, Cloud, achievement, platform, and usage information under Valve’s own agreements and privacy policy.

Optional in-game bug reports

The game does not send a bug report automatically. If an online reporting service is enabled, a report is transferred only after you open Report a Bug, complete the form, choose any optional diagnostic items, and press the send button.

An approved report may include your written issue description, reproduction steps, application and data-format versions, coarse operating-system and hardware details, and—only when you approve them—recent sanitized logs or one screenshot captured by the game.

The reporting flow does not intentionally include save archives, active databases, preferences, Steam identity, account credentials, browser data, arbitrary file attachments, unrelated files, or a screenshot you did not approve. If no production endpoint is available or sending fails, a pending package may remain locally for an explicit retry.

One policy for every Smart Atum Android game

This policy covers all Smart Atum Android titles, including Hero Investor, Dev Tycoon, and Music Career Tycoon. Available services differ by game and version, so a title may use some—but not necessarily all—of the services described below.

Depending on the title and version, an Android game may use Google Play Games Services, Firebase services, Google Play reporting, or Google AdMob. These services may process account, device, advertising, diagnostics, gameplay, achievement, leaderboard, cloud-save, or purchase-related information to provide the enabled feature, maintain the game, measure performance, prevent abuse, or display advertising where a game includes ads.

Google processes information collected through its services under the Google Privacy Policy. Smart Atum does not receive your Google account password or payment-card details from Google Play.

Limited to operating and improving our services

Depending on the service and applicable law, Smart Atum uses information to:

• provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the website and games;
• evaluate and coordinate beta tests and communicate with participants;
• diagnose crashes, defects, compatibility problems, and performance issues;
• protect private tests and services from fraud, spam, or abuse;
• respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations and protect legal rights.

We do not use information submitted directly to Smart Atum for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell personal information

We may provide limited information to service providers only when necessary to operate, secure, or support the relevant service. Current or planned provider categories include:

• Cloudflare for website delivery, security, and any separately enabled private bug-report infrastructure;
• Google for Google Forms, Google Play, Firebase, AdMob, or other Android services used by a particular title; and
• Valve for Steam distribution and enabled Steam platform features.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or to protect users, Smart Atum, or others. If the studio or its assets are reorganized or transferred, relevant information may transfer subject to this policy and applicable law.

Kept only for a legitimate purpose

• Local PC data remains on your device until you delete it through the game, Windows, or uninstall and cleanup processes.
• Beta applications and support communications are retained while reasonably necessary to evaluate applicants, operate the test, respond to the communication, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations.
• Online bug reports, if production submission is enabled, will be subject to the retention period disclosed in the reporting flow and the version of this policy then in effect.
• Steam, Google, and Cloudflare information is retained under each provider’s policies and configuration.

Information may be deleted, aggregated, or anonymized when it is no longer needed. Some records may be retained longer where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Controls available to you

Depending on the service, you may:

• decline to submit a beta application or support request;
• decline optional logs or screenshots in an in-game bug report;
• clear local PC diagnostics through the game’s Settings screen;
• delete local saves and other files using the game’s documented controls or Windows;
• manage eligible Steam Cloud data and Steam privacy choices through Steam; and
• request access, correction, or deletion of information held directly by Smart Atum, where applicable.

Requests concerning Steam, Google, or another provider’s account data should be directed to that provider. For Smart Atum requests, use our data-deletion page or contact us. We may need enough information to locate the relevant record and verify that the request is legitimate.

Safeguards and age boundaries

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service involved. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Smart Atum and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on provider safeguards and other lawful mechanisms for cross-border processing.

The Hero Investor PC closed-beta application is limited to people aged 18 or older. Our website, PC services, and games are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A higher minimum age may apply where required by local law. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child contrary to these requirements, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Questions, requests, and policy updates

We may update this policy when our games, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Features described as conditional apply only when they are enabled in the version you use.
